In order to use the PERRLA for Word Add-in, you need to make sure Microsoft Word is updated to the latest version.
Updating Office that was Downloaded from Microsoft
- Open Microsoft Word and create a new blank document.
- Click the Help menu.
- Click Check for Updates.
This will open the Microsoft AutoUpdate window where you can install any available updates. The download and installation process can take up to an hour.
If the Microsoft AutoUpdate window shows "All apps are up-to-date," your Microsoft Word is already current.
Updating Office that was Downloaded from the Mac App Store
If you installed Microsoft Office from the Mac App Store instead of from Microsoft, check for updates inside the App Store.
- Open the App Store.
- Click Updates.
Microsoft Office will be listed if any updates are available. - Click Update next to Microsoft Office.
This will download and install any available updates. The process can take up to an hour.
