PERRLA Add-in Requirements

The PERRLA for Word Add-in requires the following:

• Microsoft Word 2016 or newer (Windows or Mac) or Word for Web
• An active internet connection

Older versions of Microsoft Word do not have the built-in functionality needed by the PERRLA for Word Add-in.

Users with older versions of Microsoft Word will need to update to Word 2016 or newer to use the PERRLA for Word add-in, or they can use PERRLA Online's Paper View Editor (as long as they have an active subscription) or use the PERRLA Add-in with Word for Web.

Word for Web is the version of Word you access in a web browser. You can currently work with APA 7 papers in Word for Web. MLA 9 & Turabian functionality will be coming soon.
