When copying text from a website or another document, unwanted formatting can come along with it and alter the styling in your paper. To avoid this, paste as plain text using the keyboard shortcuts below. This is a good habit when working with any document, not just PERRLA papers.
Note: Cmd is the Command key (the one with the four-leaf clover symbol) beside the spacebar.
To copy text:
Windows: Ctrl + C
Mac: Cmd + C
To paste as plain text:
Windows: Ctrl + Shift + V
Mac: Cmd + Shift + V
The text will be pasted without its original formatting, so it will match the styling of your paper. These shortcuts work in both PERRLA Online and PERRLA for Word.
