PERRLA Online supports several custom sections that can be added to your paper beyond the standard formatting requirements. These are commonly used in longer works like dissertations and theses.
Adding a Custom Section
In PERRLA Online, you'll use the Navigator to the left of your paper to add sections.
- Place your cursor in the section of the paper below where you want the new section to appear.
- Click the + icon next to Navigator.
- Under Custom Sections, click the section you want to add.
Available custom sections include Acknowledgments, Dedication, Disclaimer, Signatures Page, Blank Custom Section, and Blank Section (Landscape) for a landscape-oriented page.
PERRLA will add the new section above the section where you had the cursor in your paper.
Removing a Custom Section
- In the Navigator, click the three dots next to the section you want to delete.
- Choose Delete section.
- Click Yes, Delete to confirm.
