When words fail to tell the entire story, you can insert a figure into your PERRLA paper in a matter of seconds.
Like citations, figures are added to your paper wherever you place your cursor. Be sure your cursor is in your paper where you want the figure to be inserted.
- Go to the PERRLA ribbon tab.
- Click Insert Figure.
- Select a figure image.
You can choose a file from your computer (.jpg or .png) or choose an image from a website by inserting its URL. - Add a figure caption or title.
Captions and titles should concisely describe their content. - (APA 7) Add Notes.
In APA 7 papers, you can optionally add Notes to your figure. - Click Insert Figure.
Your figure will be inserted at the point you originally placed your cursor.
Making adjustments to a Figure
After a figure has been inserted into your paper, you can adjust the image or edit the caption directly in your paper.
