Appendices are for supplementary material that's too long or too distracting to include in the body of your paper. PERRLA handles appendix formatting automatically – here's how it works.
Appendices in PERRLA Papers
Click Appendix in the PERRLA toolbar to open the Appendix side panel.
Adding an Appendix
Click Add an Appendix in the Appendix panel. PERRLA will create a new appendix at the correct location in your paper and update the names of any existing appendices automatically.
You can also click the green bar button at the end of your paper to add a new appendix without opening the panel.
Deleting an Appendix
Unlike the Add-in, PERRLA Online lets you delete appendices directly. A red delete button appears beneath each appendix – each one is labeled to match the appendix it will delete. Because this also deletes any content inside the appendix, PERRLA will ask you to confirm before making it permanent.
PERRLA 201 Webinar
The video below covers advanced editing in PERRLA, including adding appendices. It should start right where appendices are discussed – but the whole thing is worth a watch if you want to get more out of your paper. Note: the video was recorded using the Word Add-in, but adding an appendix works the same way in PERRLA Online.
