Appendices are for supplementary material that's too long or too distracting to include in the body of your paper. PERRLA handles appendix formatting automatically – here's how it works.
Appendices in PERRLA Papers
Click Appendix in the PERRLA toolbar to bring up the Appendix side panel.
Adding an appendix
Click Add an Appendix in the Appendix panel. PERRLA will create a new appendix at the correct location in your paper and update the names of any existing appendices automatically.
Deleting an appendix
PERRLA doesn't delete content you've written. To remove an appendix, highlight and delete it manually in your Word document.
Refreshing appendix names
If you move or reorder your appendices, click Refresh Appendix Names in the Appendix panel. PERRLA will relabel them in order from start to finish (Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.).
PERRLA 201 Webinar
The video below covers advanced editing in PERRLA, including adding appendices. It should start right where appendices are discussed – but the whole thing is worth a watch if you want to get more out of your paper.
