Annotations are usually used to provide additional information about the references you add to your paper. In some situations, a professor may even ask for an annotated bibliography before you start writing your first draft.
PERRLA Online makes creating and adding annotations to papers simple. Here's how to add annotations to your paper's references:
- Add the references your paper needs.
- Click References in the menu bar.
It's located at the top of the Editor, above the large icons. - Click Add annotations in the menu.
That's it!
PERRLA adds a text area under each of the references in your paper where you can type your annotation. Just like the body of your paper, you can add citations if you need.
When you download or print your paper, the annotations are perfectly formatted for you. Any empty annotation fields are left out of your final paper.
