Using Citations in the PERRLA Add-in

You can use the References & Citations panel in PERRLA to create references, add previously created references to your new papers, and create citations for the references you've added to your paper.

Before adding a citation, make sure you've already added the reference to your paper: Using References in the PERRLA Add-in.

Creating Citations

1. Place your cursor where you want the citation. 
2. Click + Add Citation under the correct reference. 
3. Enter the citation's information. 
4. Click Add Citation. 

PERRLA will create and insert the citation into your paper.

Editing Citations

After you've created your citations, you can edit them using the References & Citations panel. Here's how:

1. Open the References & Citations panel. 
2. Mouse over the reference you want to edit – you'll see a "..." icon appear on the right side. 
3. Click the ... icon. 
4. Click Edit from the menu. 

Make the necessary changes and click the green button at the bottom to save. PERRLA will automatically update your paper.
