What is PERRLA Online?
When you purchase a subscription to PERRLA, it includes our add-in that works directly with Microsoft Word (PERRLA for Word) and our online web-application (PERRLA Online).
PERRLA Online lets you write and manage your papers from any internet connected computer. It includes all of the tools you have come to expect from our Word add-in (References, Citations, paper formatting, etc.), plus a number of new ones that are only found in PERRLA Online (Research Notes, Outline Editor, etc.).
Can PERRLA Online replace PERRLA for Word?
PERRLA Online includes everything you need to write perfectly formatted APA, MLA, and Turabian papers from start to finish, all without Microsoft Word. So you can use just PERRLA Online alone to create and manage all of your papers. But, if you like, you can still use PERRLA for Word as well.
Your PERRLA subscription includes both.
However, papers do not sync between PERRLA Online and PERRLA for Word (References do sync automatically between PERRLA Online & PERRLA for Word). We recommend finishing a paper on whatever platform you start it on.
You do have the option to export papers from PERRLA Online so that you can finish them in PERRLA for Word. Click here to see how to export a paper in PERRLA Online and import it into PERRLA for Word.
How do I get help in PERRLA Online?
PERRLA Online has help built directly into it. You can use the Help Center or Contact Support at the bottom of the left sidebar to easily find help.
Like always, our Support Team works from 10 am - 10 pm (Central) Monday through Friday, and from 1 pm - 10 pm on weekends.
Do I still receive Priority Support for PERRLA Online and PERRLA for Word?
Yes! When you purchase Priority Support, it covers your entire PERRLA Subscription.
Can I import a paper into PERRLA Online?
No, not right now. That is a feature we would love to provide in the future.
However, all of your References will sync between PERRLA Online and PERRLA for Word.
Do I need to download PERRLA Online?
Nope. PERRLA Online is a 100% online web application. That means you access it through your web-browser at www.perrlaonline.com. So, you can access your PERRLA Online papers from any internet connected computer (anywhere).
