Occasionally, you may not be able to right click and paste text into one of the text fields while creating a reference. Don't worry. We're not trying to block you from pasting. That would prove to be very unpleasant when it comes to some of those longer URLs.
In fact, PERRLA actually isn't controlling your ability to paste at all. If you're unable to right click and paste, there may be other factors causing this, such as a setting in Word or your browser.
Luckily, this is a very easy fix. First, start by saving all of your work. Once you have saved your work, reboot your computer. More often than not, this will resolve the issue, and you'll be able to continue pasting as normal.
If you're still unable to right click and paste, you can use keyboard shortcuts to paste. If you're unsure of which keyboard shortcuts to use, we have you covered below:
Windows
Copy: CTRL + C
Paste: CTRL + V
Mac
Copy: Command + C
Paste: Command + V
And that's it! You may even find keyboard shortcuts to be your preferred method of copying and pasting from here on out.
