If you've already created a reference in the proper format outside of PERRLA, you can still add it to your Reference Page.
How to insert a manually created reference
-
Create a new paragraph space where you want the reference to appear.
You may need to press the left or right arrow keys to move your cursor outside of the Reference's Content Control box before creating the new paragraph. Learn more about Content Controls. - Press Return or Enter.
- Type or paste your reference into the Reference Page.
Even if the reference takes up more than one line, PERRLA will automatically apply the correct hanging indent to any subsequent lines.
After adding a manual reference, PERRLA will insert any future references you create in the correct location on the Reference Page.
Note: PERRLA cannot verify that your manually added reference is in the correct alphabetical order – that part is up to you.
