How to delete an APA 7 reference in PERRLA for Word (Add-in)

We are in the process of updating the References module in PERRLA Online to be compatible with APA 7th Edition references.  You can use the current References module to delete APA 6 & MLA 8 references already.

In the meantime, we've added the ability to delete a reference from the References Library inside an APA 7th Edition Paper.

Here's how to delete a reference while in an APA 7 paper:

1. Click the Add reference from library in the References & Citations panel
2. Find the reference you want to delete
3. Hover over the reference & click the more icon on the right side (three dots)
4. Click Delete Reference
5. Click Delete it

Important info about deleting a reference

If you delete a reference it cannot be restored. 

If you delete a reference that is in your current paper, it will be removed from the paper along with its citations. 

A deleted reference will not be removed from any of your other papers.  It will be disabled in the References & Citations panel in those papers.
