Just so you know, there's no harm in leaving un-used References in your PERRLA Library. They won't hurt anyone and can live peaceful full lives.
However, if you really want a Reference to "sleep with the fishes," then you can archive the Reference in your Reference Library (or in the References module in PERRLA Online).
Here are a few things to know about archiving References:
- If the reference is archived, it DOES NOT affect your previous papers. The references and citations for existing papers don't change. However, you won't be able to use those references in papers moving forward.
- You can recover archived references. If you want to restore an archived reference, you can see all of your archived references using the References module in PERRLA Online.
How to Archive a Reference
-
Click "Add reference from library" in the References & Citations panel
It's one of the two green buttons at the top of the panel. - Find the reference you want to archive
- Hover over the reference & click the more icon on the right side (the three-dot icon)
- Click Archive Reference
- Confirm you want to archive the reference
That's it. The reference will be archived from your Reference Library.
