APA & Turabian Papers
After you've created your paper, you can edit the information on the Title Page of your APA and Turabian papers in the Title Page panel. You can also edit the Running Head in APA Professional Research Papers.
APA has different requirements for Student Research Papers and Professional Research Papers, but the core process is the same.
- Go to the PERRLA ribbon tab
- Click Title Page
- Make any changes to the title page in the fields provided
You can also add additional information that wasn't included when you started the paper. - Click Update Title Page in the panel
Voila! Your Title Page and Running Head will be automatically updated to reflect your changes.
MLA Papers
MLA formatted papers don't have a separate Title Page or include a Running Head. However, you'll use the same Title Page feature to edit the paper's title information for your MLA papers.
Discussion Posts
The Title Page panel for Discussion Posts only includes a field for the Title since they don't have separate Title information besides a post title.
Manually Editing My Title Page
In the Add-in, the Title Page is locked & un-editable by default. This is to protect the majority of our customers from deviating from standard APA, MLA, and Turabian formatting.
However, there are some professors who require non-correct elements anyways.
If you need to customize your Title Page, click here to learn how.
