PERRLA can't delete your paper
When creating PERRLA, we purposefully chose to never add code that allows PERRLA to delete your papers. We never wanted to be in the position where a paper could be accidentally deleted.
That said, you can delete the paper manually from your computer and then update PERRLA so the paper doesn't show up anymore. FYI, this process works differently in PERRLA for Word (Windows).
How to manually delete a paper
- Open Finder & navigate to the paper file
By default, PERRLA saves all of your papers in the My PERRLA Papers folder in Documents.
- Move the paper to the Trash
You can either click and drag the paper into the Trash icon in your dock or right-click it and select Move to Trash.
- Open PERRLA for Word
- Locate the Paper you just deleted in My Papers
The paper should now have a red button beside it that says Missing Paper.
- Click the Missing Paper button
- Click Remove from PERRLA
That's all there is to it.
We will remove that paper from your PERRLA database so that it doesn't show up anymore.
Can I add it back?
If you need to add a deleted paper back to PERRLA, it isn't as easy as pressing Undo. You'll need to re-import the paper using PERRLA for Word's Import Paper menu option.
