PERRLA can't delete your paper
When creating PERRLA, we purposefully chose to never add code that allows PERRLA to delete your papers. We never wanted to be in the position where a paper could be accidentally deleted.
That said, you can delete the paper manually from your computer and then refresh PERRLA so the paper doesn't show up anymore. FYI, this process works differently in PERRLA for Word (Mac).
How to manually delete a paper
- Open PERRLA & go to the My PERRLA Papers tab
- Click How to delete papers... at the bottom of the tab
- Read the disclaimer & click OK
This will open a File Explorer window to the default location of your saved PERRLA Papers.
- Right-click the paper you want to delete
- Select Delete
- Go back to PERRLA & click Refresh This List at the top of the My PERRLA Papers tab
Poof! It's gone.
Since PERRLA for Word (Windows) builds the list of papers in the My PERRLA Papers tab from the PERRLA Papers folder, it won't show the paper you just deleted.
Oops! I deleted the wrong one...
Don't fret! Go back to the default PERRLA papers folder and press Ctrl+Z to undo the delete action you performed above.
If that doesn't restore your paper, you can find it in the Recycle Bin or Trash folder on your desktop. Then, simply move the paper back into the default folder for your PERRLA Papers, and click Refresh This List in PERRLA again. The paper should appear back in your Papers list.
