Classes in PERRLA Online give you an easy way to keep all of your schoolwork and papers organized.
What are Classes?
If you can remember back to the 80's, the Trapper Keeper was a necessary part of any student's toolkit. You can think of Classes in PERRLA Online a bit like a Trapper Keeper. They can hold all of the work you do for that class all in one place: Papers, Assignments, To-Do's, and Reminders.
Once you create a Class, you can find it in the side-bar of PERRLA Online. You'll be able to see the Class's color and if you how much work you may have due for it this week.
If you click on one of the Classes, you'll be taken to that Class's page. There you'll be able to see the Class's details and tabs for each of the categories of items you can associate with that Class.
You can make Classes just like you make anything in PERRLA Online – using the green Create New button at the top of the page.
- Click Class in the Create New button
- Enter your Class's information
- Click Create on the Class tab
That's it! We'll take you to your brand new Class page.
When you create a new Class you're only required to enter a Class name and to pick a color for the class. However, you can also add in information about your teacher and schedule as well. Click Create when you're finished.
Inside your Classes
After you've made a Class, you can open it from the sidebar directly or from the Classes module.
In each Class, you'll find tabs for each of the items that you can create for or associate with a Class in PERRLA Online. There are tabs for your Syllabus, Notes, Class Calendar, Assignments, Papers, To-Do's, Exams, and Files.
If you want to create a Paper, Assignment, or even a To-Do that is associated with the Class, you can do that with the smaller Create New button found on each tab. You can also associate an item with a Class when you are creating or editing it.
Archiving old classes
Luckily, classes eventually come to an end. You can archive your finished classes so they don't continue to take up space in your sidebar.
Archived Classes can be found in the main Classes module (clicking Classes in the sidebar) by clicking Show Archived Classes.
You can archive a Class by clicking the Archive Class button on the Class's Details tab.
