When you create Research Papers in PERRLA for Word (Mac), we automatically create a Title Page for you with some default text. You can use PERRLA to update the Title Page in your paper. Don't edit the Title Page directly in Microsoft Word.
As a side note, Discussion Posts in PERRLA for Word don't include a Title Page at all.
Editing the Title Page
- With your paper open, go to the Paper Sections tab in PERRLA
- Select the Title Page section
- Enter or update the available fields
- Click the Update Title Page button
That's it! We'll update your Title Page for you and update the file name to match the paper's title (unless you've set it manually in the Paper Details tab). We'll also make sure you Running Head is updated to match the new Title.
If you need to manually update the Title page with custom text at your professor's request, add those changes once you're done with your paper. Making those changes and then trying to make adjustments to your Title Page can cause problems with PERRLA.
