Editing a Reference in a Paper
Editing a Reference in your paper in PERRLA Online is easy.
- Make sure the References & Citations panel is open in the Editor tab
It is open by default when you enter the Editor tab. If you don't see it, click References & Citations in the Editor menubar.
- Click the pencil (Edit) icon beside the Reference
- Edit the Reference's details
- Click Save at the bottom
That's it! We'll update your Reference and Citations to match the changes you made.
If you need to edit the Reference's non-Reference details (Annotation, Shortname/Nickname, Notes, or Tags), go to the Reference tab at the top of the Edit window. There you can edit those details and click Save.
Editing a Reference in the Reference Module
In PERRLA Online, you can see your entire Reference Library in the References module in the left-side menu.
Editing a Reference here is easy as well:
- Click on the Reference you need to edit
- Go to the Details tab
- Edit the details
- Click the Save Details button
Boom! You're done. If the Reference is used in any papers, they will be updated the next time you open them.
You can also edit other aspects of a Reference here as well: Shortname/Nickname, Notes, Annotation, and Tags.
In the Citations tab, you can create a citation for the Reference that can be copied and pasted into another document.
